About Blossom Candles
Blossom Candles started in 1999 when we realized that it was
impossible to buy chemical-free contemporary and natural candles. The
only 'pure' ones we could find looked as though they were made as a
sideline for a village fair! Our aim was to update the beeswax candle
whilst still keeping the unmistakable look.
All of our candles are made from local English beeswax with pure
essential oils in the floating candles. Being handmade we are easily
able to adapt sizes, widths, colours and designs as required and often
personalize candles with logos and names for functions and weddings.
The pillars are rolled using sheets of beeswax and then hand painted
- it is the best way to prove that they are completely natural. The
smaller ones are floating candles with essential oils. No chemicals such
as paraffin or stearin are used in any of our making processes!
Traditionally beeswax has always been regarded as a finer candle than
alternative choices and was an exclusive product afforded only by
privileged Royalty and the Church. Today beeswax candles are considered
an affordable luxury prized not only as a natural, recyclable resource
but also as the only candles that don’t drip, fizzle or give off harmful
odours while burning. They burn brighter than all other alternatives and
emit a calming natural honey perfume which is also considered highly
beneficial to people who suffer from breathing problems such as asthma
and hay fever.
Our candles have been featured in House
Beautiful, You Magazine and Country Living. They also appeared on the BBC show Home Front in both the
house with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and in the garden makeover with
Diarmuid Gavin.
